The international women’s day is turning into night, but you still have plenty of time to sign the statement of the Federation of Mother and Child Homes and Shelters and Amnesty Finland on their campaign on the international women’s week. The aim of the campaign is that no woman in Finland would die due to domestic violence, get persecuted or raped in 2030.

The statement pleads to decision-makers that by the year 2030 the net of safety homes and shelters would be comprehensive, the parts involved in domestic violence would get enough support, that the domestic violence would be taken into account when deciding about the seeing rights of the children, and that the human rights education would be recognised.

You can read more about the women’s week campaign and the history of the rights of the Finnish women at the campaign’s website (only in Finnish and Swedish.
