In Helsinki on November 25th, 2020
In the assembly meeting today, on November 25, 2020, the Student Parliament elected the chairperson and vice-chairperson of the Student Parliament. In addition, the Student Parliament voted for the new chairperson and vice-chairperson of the METKA board and elected 5 board members for 2021.
The Chairperson of the METKA Student Parliament for the year 2020 is Pia Blomstén (cultural management) and the Vice-chairperson of the Student Parliament is Kiia Wilander (building services engineering).
The Chairperson of the METKA Board is Tekla Kosonen (social services), and the Vice-chairperson of the METKA Board is Janne Levänen (cultural management). The following people were voted to the METKA Board: Fanny Pohjankoski (midwifery), Veera Kaija (social services), Adem Osmanovic (construction management), Jani Ressi (electrical and automation engineering) and Anna Linho (business administration). There were 7 candidates in total for the board member positions.
Freshly chosen chairperson Tekla Kosonen says: “We got a diverse group of skilled members for the board. It is great to go towards the next year with this team.”
The Student Parliament also elected Tekla Kosonen as the student union representative in Opiskelijapalvelut Oy for 2021 and Janne Levänen as the vice representative.
