This and last week METKA’s new trustees got to know the secrets of student union activities. The Board and the Chairpersons of the Council of Representatives have got to know each other and METKA’s different sectors, taken over the documents guiding METKA’s operations. The trustees have also toured Metropolia’s campuses to get to know the facilities and were photographed in the studio in Arabia campus.
New board also had their first meeting where they formed up. Valtteri Siljander is the chairperson and Adel Rizvi is the vice chaiperson and in charge of advocacy. Lari Koskinen is responsible for sports and business cooperation, Aiki Oago for tutoring, Miitta Vahvelainen for communications and events and Aaro Yli-Öyrä for advocacy and events.
Chairperson of the Board Valtteri Siljander describes these weeks as intense.
“Everyone has naturally found their own sector, which they have already started to implement with passion. Next, we turn our attention to Christmas and the new year and the opportunities it brings”, says Siljander.
