New sports equipment loaning services have been opened at Myyrmäki and Karamalmi campus libraries. There everyone with the 3AMK library card can borrow different sports equipment for free.
In the sports equipment loaning service you can find e.g. tennis and padel rackets, different balls, body care equipment, and outdoor games. All the sports equipment is listed on MetCat Finna.
The sports equipment can be found in a big chest close to the self-service machine that you can use to borrow the equipment. The loan period is two weeks. Please return the equipment to the same library where you borrowed it. E.g. equipment borrowed from Myyrmäki campus library should be returned to Myyrmäki campus library.
The sports equipment can’t be reserved, but the loan can be renewed. The overdue fine is 0,50 € / day / loan.
Another sports equipment loaning service was opened at Arabia campus library last year. There you can borrow sports equipment with the 3AMK library card for free as well.
Sports equipment loaning services are funded by Student Union METKA’s Metropolia on the Move project and they are executed in cooperation with the library services.
