How do I buy the membership?

Membership can now be purchased directly from Kide.app. This means that your membership information will be immediately visible in Kide.app and you can buy event tickets at member prices immediately. METKA membership does not need to be activated separately.

  1. Go to Kide.app
  2. If you do not already have a Kide.app account, please create one. If you already have an account, you do not need to create a new one to become a METKA member.
  3. Choose whether you want to buy a membership for the spring semester only or for the whole academic year.
  4. Add the product to your shopping cart and select online banking, payment card or Mobilepay as payment method.
  5. Tada! You are now a METKA member
  6. Zone sports services work on a different system, so you need to activate your sports season separately

How do I start using Zone’s services?

Sports services are not available automatically when you join. They are reactivated each semester or academic year. If you are a new user of the services, you should first create a Zone account at zonesports.fi (Login button at the top of the page).

You can then contact METKA by sending an e-mail to jasenpalvelut@metkaweb.fi and we will activate the sports season for you according to the membership period you purchased. Activations are done twice a week on Tuesdays and on Thursdays before 4 PM. In urgent cases, you can also contact the office by e-mail during office hours.

You no longer need a physical activity pass to use our sports services. All you need to do is download the free OnTheMove app. This allows you to book and sign in for your reservations. Three unstamped bookings will result in a 7-day ban in the booking system.

How do I start using Slice?

Members of the Student Union will have access to METKA’s digital student card in Slice. Slice has hundreds and hundreds of student benefits worth the money!

  1. Buy METKA membership. Your data will be transferred through the systems on the same day or within a few working days at the most, depending on how busy the service is.
  2. Go to Slice’s website (If you already have an account, you will be redirected to the app store to download the Slice app)
  3. Select Metropolia University of Applied Sciences
  4. Fill in the form to receive your activation code (the information you provide must match the information you provide to METKA)
  5. Download the Slice app from Google Play or the App Store
  6. Open the app and log in
  7. Enter the username and password (activation code) you received via email
  8. Accept the terms of use, as the app cannot be used without it. You can also verify this in your phone settings.
  9. Enjoy the benefits!

If you change your phone, you will need to update your student card to the new phone. Go to slice.fi/resetoi and enter your email address known to Slice. After a few moments, you will receive a link in your email, click on it and you will soon receive new app activation codes in your email, which you can use to log in to the Slice app.

Why doesn’t my member card show up in Tuudo?

Have you purchased your membership through OMA before Kide.app? Memberships purchased via OMA have been transferred to the Kide.app registry as well. But have you remembered to activate your METKA membership in Kide.app?
Here’s how to do it:

  1. Open the Kide.app and search for METKA membership.
  2. Click on the membership purchase option, but scroll down to find the question “Do you already have a membership?” and below that, you’ll see the button “Activate your membership.”
  3. Click the button and fill in your details.
  4. Once you’ve completed this process, your Kide.app membership will be activated, allowing you to access Tuudo as well.

If your membership was purchased directly through Kide.app, please note that data transfer between systems takes approximately one business day from the time of purchase. If more time has passed and your membership is still not active, please contact us at jasenpalvelut@metkaweb.fi and Tuudo at info@tuudo.fi, so we can search why there is a delay.
