Annika Sievinen has been appointed Executive Director of METKA. Sievinen will begin her role as Executive Director on a part-time basis on September 23, 2026, and on a full-time basis in early October.
Sievinen is joining METKA from her position as Community Specialist at the Laureamko Student Union, where her responsibilities included tutoring, campus teams, and international activities. Sievinen has experience in preparing budgets and action plans, administrative and financial management tasks, and leading hundreds of volunteers.
Sievinen holds a degree in hospitality management (tourism and service business) and a vocational diploma in business and administration. She also served as vice chairperson of the Laureamko Board in 2020. In leadership, she is particularly interested in collaboration, workplace well-being, and soft skills and positivity as part of leadership.
