The 26th General Assembly of the University of Applied Sciences Students in Finland – SAMOK gathered online on the 28th and 29th of October 2021. A former member of the METKA board and the current chairperson of the board, Tekla Kosonen was elected as a member of SAMOK’s board.
”I am thankful for the confidence the student unions have shown, and excited for next year”, Kosonen describes her thoughts on the election.
Emmi Lainpelto (Tamko) was elected as the chairperson of SAMOK and Rico Martikainen (Kaakko) as Vice President of SAMOK. Other members of the SAMOK board in 2021 are Erica Alaluusua (Helga), Ida Flemmich (ASK) and Jenna Jourio (Laureamko).
In addition to choosing the board of SAMOK, the General Assembly discussed and decided among other things the policy paper on FSHS, new bylaws for the organization and next year’s agenda and finances.
