Apply as a METKA’s candidate for OLL’s Board for 2027

This application is unfortunately only in Finnish as the working language of OLL is Finnish.

At the next meeting of METKA’s Representative Council on September 1st 2026, it will be decided who will stand as METKA’s candidate(s) for the OLL board for 2027.

Being nominated is not a guarantee to become an OLL board member, but METKA will support the candidate during the election period. Candidates are expected to dedicate time and commitment to the election period, which includes participating in various discussion panels, meeting and introducing themselves to stakeholders and negotiating future elections.

Finnish Student Sports Federation OLL will elect its 2027 board at General Assembly 4.-5.11.2026 at Pajulahti Sport Institute. The term of office will start on 1 January 2027 and end on 31 December 2027, but the candidates will already be familiarised with their tasks during November and December.

At the Finnish Student Sports Federation, they work together to promote well-being in close collaboration with experts on various social issues.
You’ll have the opportunity to influence social issues, particularly from the perspective of mobility and physical activity. You’ll learn about and apply your knowledge in areas such as student health care, equality, and mobility and study infrastructure.
You’ll be part of the national student movement’s advocacy work on social and welfare policy, alongside SYL and SAMOK. You’ll gain experience in both local and national advocacy—regardless of whether it’s an election year.
You’ll get to participate in student competitions and gain a broad perspective on the day-to-day work of the organization. You’ll meet students and other stakeholders from all over Finland and possibly even abroad.
You’ll strengthen your communication and public speaking skills and gain familiarity with administrative and organizational management practices.
Your term of office offers a valuable learning experience in advocacy, organizational activities, and workplace skills. You’ll build a comprehensive network of influential figures in the fields of physical activity, sports, and youth work in a safe and supportive environment.
