Welcome to METKA’s Autumn Fuksiaiset 2026!
Hear ye, hear ye! Let it be known throughout the realm that METKA’s Autumn Freshers’ Party 2026 aka Fuksiaiset of the Year of Our Lord Metku has arrived! Step into the time machine with METKA, as this year’s adventure will transport you straight to the Middle Ages!
METKA’s Fuksiaiset is a fun outdoor event for new students, where you’ll complete light-hearted challenge checkpoints around Kaivopuisto together with your group and tutors while getting to know your fellow students.
Our medieval-themed Fuksiaiset takes place on Tuesday, 15 September 2026, with challenge checkpoints open from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM in Kaivopuisto, Helsinki.
Be sure to dress for the weather and embrace the medieval theme! Prizes will be awarded to both the best-dressed team and the team that performs best in the challenge course.
Expect plenty of fun, laughter, and the chance to meet your fellow students! After completing the challenge course, the festivities continue with a Fuusio, Metropolia’s interdisciplinary Freshers’ afterparty in Kaivopuisto, where the winners will be crowned. Those who wish to keep the celebration going are welcome to join the unofficial afterparty at Apollo. Please note that the cloakroom fee must be paid at the door.
When purchasing your ticket, you will be asked for your class code. Exchange students should enter “EXCHANGE”in this field.
Remember to activate your METKA membership in Kide.app before purchasing a member-priced ticket. Membership information is transferred to Kide.app manually a couple of times each day, so please be patient if your membership status does not update immediately. There are enough tickets for all new students!
