METKA’s Speksi 2026 proudly presents: ELLIN IHMEELLISET SEIKKAILUT – TARINOITA KASINOLTA.
The time has come to pay off her debts. Elli, 27, is doing everything she can to stop the government debt collectors from turning up on her doorstep. Her student loan instalment is overdue and Elli needs the money straight away.
She’s tried everything from finding a job to turning to her parents, and this is her last resort. She has to go to the CASINO. However, she must keep the reason for gambling a secret so that Elli doesn’t lose face – after all, she needs it for poker.

METKAn Speksi
Speksi is a form of interactive improvisational theatre that includes music and dance performances. Audience participation also plays a key role. In Speksi performances, the audience can take part by shouting “Omstart!”, at which point the scene preceding the shout is re-enacted. ‘Omstarts’ can also be accompanied by specific instructions, such as ‘Omstart, the Stone Age!’, in which case the performers on stage react by acting out the scene according to the instruction. Thanks to these ‘Omstarts’, every performance is unique.
Speksi plays have a long tradition in Finnish student culture. Speksis are particularly well known in the university world, but METKA’s Speksi is Finland’s first UAS Speksi. Team spirit and collaboration are essential to the production of a Speksi, as every team member makes a vital contribution to the performance. The Speksi is produced entirely by students from start to finish and offers the most amazing multidisciplinary hobby to enjoy alongside your studies! This year’s METKA Speksi is being held for the 12th time.
