Well hello!
I started as a METKA advocacy and communication expert at the beginning of October. It was no coincidence that I found myself in this place. During my studies at Haaga-Helia, I worked for several years in the student organization for journalism students, Skuuppi ry. Before that, I studied at Metropolia for a while and during that time I also worked in a student association and as a tutor. I did an internship related to my journalism studies in 3AMK, a strategic alliance between three universities of applied sciences.
When METKA was then recruiting an advocacy and communication expert, the position felt as if it was made for me. I got the job and after a long period of unemployment the first feeling was relief. And not just because I got a job at all, but also because I get to do a pleasant job with interesting matters and in a fun community! First, I will work with the Representatives Council elections. Later I’ll work with regional elections for example. I will definitely also get to do a lot of work with social media.
I come from Juva, Southern Savo, but I settled in Helsinki several years ago. In my free time I like to watch movies and TV series and cook both for myself and others.
