METKA nominates several dozen student representatives each year. The application period for the Legal Protection Committee until the end of term 2023-2024 s now running. As the current student representatives are graduating there are one (1) member and two (2) vice member positions open.
The Legal Protection Committee deals with matters related to student selection, the right to study and granting additional time etc.
The application period starts on 3 June at 12.00 and ends on August 4 at 23.59. METKA is looking for a wide range of applicants from different degrees and classes. Student representative positions announced to apply are filled based on applications.
Students of Metropolia University of Applied Sciences are eligible to apply. The student representative is not required to be a member of METKA. A student who has registered as non-attending is also able to act as a student representative.

METKA’s Representative Council makes decisions on the Legal Protection Committee at its meeting. Applicants have the opportunity to present themselves at the meeting where the selection is made. The student representatives elected at the meeting of the Representative Council are nominated, and the final decision is made by the board of Metropolia University of Applied Sciences Ltd.
Note! The working language of the Legal Protection Committee is Finnish.
