Come join us to be a part of students’ Sports and Well-being Event, MetroSport 2025. Join us to create a new event team for MetroSport and develop the event further. No previous experience in organising an event is required, just an interest in organising an event.

The event will take place in autumn and will be determined more precisely by location. As part of the event team, you will have the opportunity to, among other things, search for a new location, be in contact with trial representatives and partners, and develop the event. The desired availability of the event team is around 5h/month. However, this varies depending on the job and the time of the year.

Schedule

  • The application is open from 3.12.-18.12.2024.
  • Interviews will start during the application period, depending on applications, and will continue until 20.12.2024.
  • Inductions will take place in January. The timing will be specified at the time of the interviews.
  • The event will be worked on throughout the spring with the aim of getting close to completion.
  • In the autumn, the final touches will be made before the event.

    • Depending on the field of study and the university, there is the possibility of credits in the report
    • Recreation day after the event

Project manager:

  • event organisation
  • Main responsibility for the planning and implementation of the event

Communication manager:

  • graphics
  • website

Business and partnership manager:

  • Finding partners and funding for the event
  • Working with METKA staff
  • Product and services cooperation for procurement

Logistics and event area manager:

  • planning of the event area in cooperation with the event manager
  • implementation of logistics on the day of the event
  • planning the necessary supplies for the area

Volunteer coordinator:

  • recruitment and training of volunteers
  • design of training material
  • Team lead recruitment

Sports coordinator:

  • mainly responsible for contacting sports organizations
  • planning the structure and placement of the trial in the event area with the event area manager
