Hello!

My name is Mirva, and I started at the beginning of November as an intern in the Metropolia on the Move -project. I’m about to graduate with a Master’s in Health Science, majoring in Sports and Exercise Medicine. As a student, I feel that promoting students’ well-being and physical activity is essential and meaningful. At the moment, I am excited about working on this project, and I look forward to what the next six months will bring.

My competence in health and well-being focuses on planning and evaluating strategies to promote physical activity and support behavioral change. During the next six months, I will be involved in planning and implementing sports events and creating study environments that encourage physical activity. You are more than welcome to pull up on my sleeve and give your wishes or ideas when walking by me on campus.

Originally, I’m from Oulu and later moved through Jyväskylä to here in the warmth of the south. My free time is mainly spent in dance sports. However, goal-oriented competitive sports have changed with age to consuming dance floors mainly for pleasure. Nowadays, my movement has changed in a more playful direction, and I think playing belongs to everyone – including adults.

Hey,

I’m Linda, just started in November 2022 as a sport planner intern at Zone. My previous education is a group exercise instructor and I’m about to graduate as a master of health sciences at the moment. I’m studying at the faculty of sport sciences at the university of Jyväskylä.

My task is to plan Zone’s courses for the spring 2023. Now it’s a right time to make a wish for the spring term. Please send me an email about your favorite sport, location, time or whatever – you name it.
