The nomination period for the representative council elections ends tomorrow on October 7 at 11.59 A.M. (Note! At noon). Please fill in the candidate form in time, as forms filled in late will not be considered unless the Electoral Committee decides to accept them.

All Metropolia students who are members of METKA and have paid their membership fees by the end of the nomination period are eligible to run. Candidates may also form electoral alliances. Five electoral alliances have been announced. You can form your own electoral alliance until October 7 at 11.59 A.M.

  • METKAn punavihreät – An election alliance of politically independent representatives of the Social Democratic Party, the Left, the Greens, and independents
  • Tradenöörit – An electoral alliance of business and engineering students
  • MetSoT – An electoral alliance of Metropolia’s social and health care students
  • VELI – An electoral alliance of METKA’s head tutors and tutors
  • Fiksatiivi – An electoral alliance of Metropolia’s culture students

The Representative Council has decision-making power over significant decisions in the annual activities of the Student Union such as budget and action plan. The decisions of the Representative Council are implemented by the METKA Board, which is elected by the Council for one calendar year at a time.
