METKA’s tutor application period starts again! The application period for peer and exchange tutors opens on 8 September and is open until 21 September. You can apply for peer, exchange, degree and topup/tokasa tutor with the same application form. The form can be found here.

As a tutor you can gain valuable experience and get to develop skills appreciated also in working life. Through tutoring you will get the opportunity to meet people across the world, and Metropolia, and find lifelong friends.
As an exchange tutor, you get to help the exchange student get started in a completely new environment and it’s a good opportunity to gain experience from guidance. You will also get to build your international network, which will certainly benefit you and also bring you joy throughout your life! On top of this, exchange tutoring is a great warm-up for your own possible exchange period!
As a Degree Tutor, you will help new students in English Degree Programmes at the start of their studies and help them get started in a new country and environment.
As a Topup/Tokasa tutor, you will have the opportunity to tutor international students doing a partial or full degree in nursing or social services at Metropolia.
Anyone, who is studying in Metropolia and has been a fresher themselves can apply to be a tutor. The stage of your own studies is not relevant – as long as you will be present during the 2026 spring semester.
If you wish, you can also receive 5 credits from tutoring and get a certificate from METKA!
