1. I have a METKA Wappu Pass, but I didn’t get a stamp. Can I get it later?
If you missed getting a stamp at an event, you can collect it at another METKA’s Wiikon Wappu event. However, you must show proof of attendance, such as a used event ticket or an event overall patch.
2. Where can I get the Wappuguru patch?
Wappuguru patches are distributed at METKA’s Wappu Eve event on April 30th and at Kaivarin Wappu on May 1st. Find METKA’s tent, show your Wappupass with at least seven (7) stamps, and the patch is yours!
3. I can’t collect my patch on Wappu Eve or Wappu Day. Can I get it later?
After Wappu, we will take Wappuguru patches to every campus, and you can collect yours during M-piste service point opening hours. Alternatively, you can give your Wappupass to a friend, and they can pick up the patch for you.
4. I lost my Wappupass. What should I do?
Wappupasses are limited in number, so please take good care of yours. If you lose your pass during the Wappu celebrations, contact us via email or reach out to us at one of the events.
5. Can I get stamps for my Wappupass on Wappu Eve and Wappu Day?
Yes! You can collect stamps by participating in METKA’s free Wappu Eve and Wappu Day events.
6. Where and when can I collect my Wappupass?
The first chance to collect your Wappupass is at the first Wiikon Wappu event on April 7, 2025. METKA distributes passes at all METKA Wiikon Wappu events until April 26, 2025. After this, it will no longer be possible to collect the required seven (7) stamps. Please note that passes cannot be collected from other student unions’ (Laureamko, O’Diako) Wappu events, and METKA does not distribute other organizations’ Wappupasses at its events.
7. Why can’t I buy a Wappupass at the member price?
If you recently purchased your membership, it might not have been updated in Kide.app yet, preventing you from activating it there. Membership information is manually updated regularly, so please be patient.
8. What happens on Wappu Eve?
We gather at Sinebrychoff Park. METKA has ordered sunny weather for the whole day, so you can enjoy a picnic with sparkling wine, streamers, and donuts. METKA’s official event lasts for a few hours, but the park will stay lively until late at night! There will also be programs organized by METKA and student associations. More details on Wappu Eve are coming soon!
9. I didn’t get a ticket for the event I wanted. What should I do?
Unfortunately, events often have a limited number of tickets. However, Wiikon Wappu offers numerous free events, and you can also attend O’Diako’s and Laureamko’s events. This means that collecting the required Wappupass stamps should still be possible, even if you miss out on a specific event.
10. Who gives out stamps for the Wappupass?
METKA does. You can recognize a METKA representative by their black and orange jacket. If you are attending O’Diako or Laureamko’s Wappu events, you can get a stamp from their representatives. O’Diako’s reps wear sports jerseys, and Laureamko’s reps wear pink hoodies.
11.When does ticket sales for events start?
Ticket sales start no earlier than March 3, 2025. Each event organizer is responsible for their ticket sales schedule, pricing, and capacity.
12. Can I participate in the Tutor Olympics even if I’m not a tutor?
Absolutely! Free spectator tickets are available for the Tutor Olympics. By showing your ticket, you can get a stamp for your Wappupass. You can come and cheer for your tutor friends!
13. Do Wappu events sell out quickly?
Some events sell out almost instantly. These are usually events with smaller capacity, such as METKA’s Wabusitsit.
