1. I have a METKA’s Wappupass, but I didn’t get a stamp on it. Can I get a stamp later?

If you did not receive a stamp at an event, you can get a stamp at another METKA Wiikon Wappu event. However, to get a stamp, you will need to show us the used event ticket or event overall patch.

2. Where can I get a Wappuguru overall patch?

Wappuguru patches will be given at both the METKA’s Wappuaatto (May Day Eve) event on April 30th and the Kaivarin Wappu event on May 1st. Find the METKA tent, present your Wappupass with at least six (6) stamps and the patch is yours.

3. I will not be able to pick up my patch on May Day Eve or May Day. Can I come back later to pick it up?

After Wappu, we will deliver Wappuguru patches to each campus and you can come pick it up when M-piste service points are open. Alternatively, you can also give your Wappupass to a friend and they can come and collect the patch for you.

4. I’ve lost my Wappupass, what do I do?

There are a limited number of Wappupasses available, so please take good care of them. However, if you lose your Wappupass at May Day shenanigans, please contact us by email or alternatively you can come and talk to us at any event.

5. Can I get a stamp to my Wappupass on May Day Eve and May Day?

Yes! You can also get your Wappupass stamped by participating in METKA’s free events on May Day Eve on April 30th and May Day on May 1st.

6. Where and when can I collect my Wappupass?

The first opportunity to pick up your Wappupass will be at the first Wiikon Wappu event on 16.4.2024. METKA will hand out Wappupasses at all METKA’s Wiikon Wappu events until 26.4.2024. After this time, it is no longer possible to collect all six (6) stamps. Note: Wappupasses cannot be picked up at Helga’s or Laureamko’s events, nor does METKA hand out Helga’s or Laureamko’s Wappupasses.

7. Why can’t I buy a Wappupass at a member price?

If you have recently purchased a membership, your membership information may not yet have been transferred to Kide.app, and you will not be able to activate your membership there. However, information is manually transferred regularly, so please be patient. For more detailed instructions, please click here.

8. What happens on May Day Eve?

We will gather in Sinebrychoff Park. METKA has ordered sunny weather for the whole day and you can just enjoy a picnic with some sparkling wine, serpentine and traditional Wappu doughnuts (munkki). METKA’s official event will last a few hours, but the park won’t quiet down until after midnight, if at all! On May Day Eve, you can also take part in a programme organized by METKA and the student associations. More information about the May Day Eve event coming soon!

9. I couldn’t get a ticket to the event I wanted, what should I do?

Unfortunately, there are almost always a limited number of tickets for events. However, there are a number of free events included in Wiikon Wappu (plus all of Helga’s and Laureamko’s events), so collecting the stamps required for Wappuguru patch shouldn’t be unachievable because of not getting a ticket to all events.

10. Who gives me a stamp for my Wappupass?

You get the stamp from METKA. You can recognise the METKA representative by the black and orange jacket. If you participate in Helga’s or Laureamko’s May Day events, they will give you the stamp. You can identify a Helga representative by their white hoodie and a Laureamko representative by their pink hoodie.

11. I’m participating in a Helga’s or Laureamko’s Wappu event before 16.4. Where can I get a Wappupass and stamp?

METKA’s Wappupasses will not be distributed until 16.4. Don’t worry, though, because in exchange for a Kide.app ticket or e.g. an overall patch from the event, you can pick up a stamp from METKA later.

12. When will tickets for events go on sale?

Ticket sales will start on 20.3.2024 at the earliest. Each event organizer is responsible for their own ticket sales schedule, ticket prices and ticket capacity. Click here to see all events.

13. Can I participate in the Tutor Olympics even if I am not a tutor?

Of course! Free audience tickets are available for the Tutor Olympics. By showing your ticket, you will receive a stamp to your Wappupass. So you can for example come and cheer your tutor friend.

14. Will the Wappu events sell out quickly?

Some events sell out right away. These are usually events with a smaller capacity, such as Wappubrunssi and Wabusitz.
