Good news about METKA membership!

Membership can now be purchased directly from Kide.app. This means that your membership information will be immediately visible in Kide.app and you can buy event tickets at member prices immediately. METKA membership does not need to be activated separately.

If you have already bought your membership through Hamrek, don’t worry! All these memberships will be manually transferred to Kide.app. If you buy your membership via Hamrek, you will still need to activate your membership in Kide.app. This can be done without contacting METKA. If this does not work, try again the next day. More detailed instructions at the end of this article.

What if you can still find an old link to purchase the membership in the depths of OMA or Tuudo? Will I lose my money if I buy a membership through it?

You won’t! However, we recommend you buy your membership through the Kide.app to avoid a few extra clicks and get your membership on Kide.app right away. If you bought your membership through Hamrek and you can’t activate your membership in Kide.app in a couple of days, please contact METKA!

So what you need to do?

  • Go to Kide.app
  • If you do not already have a Kide.app account, please create one. If you already have an account, you do not need to create a new one to become a METKA member.
  • Choose whether you want to buy a membership for the autumn semester only or for the whole academic year.
    Add the product to your shopping cart and select online banking, payment card or Mobilepay as payment method.
  • Tada! You are now a METKA member
  • Zone sports services work on a different system, so you need to activate your sports season separately. Luckily, this is easy to do with the Service Request Form (Papy form). 
  • Before filling in the form, please go to Zonesports.fi to create your Zone account.

So what do you get with that membership?

In addition to Zone’s sports services, you can for example buy a ticket to METKA’s Freshers’ Party at the member price, right away.

In addition, when Pivo ceases to exist on 4.9.2024, METKA will introduce Slice student card. In Slice you will find thousands of benefits worth money on goods and services. However, the Pivo student card and the student benefits it contains will continue to be used as normal until 4th of September.

Here’s how to use the PAPY form:

With the PAPY form (palvelupyyntö = service request), you can request instructions for using the On the Move app, activate a Zone sports season, obtain a Yogobe code, or activate your Kide.app membership.

  1. Go to METKA’s website: www.metkaweb.fi
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the front page and click the PAPY-form icon
  3. OR fill in the form from this link
  4. Please fill in the following details in the form:
    1. Name
    2. Student number
    3. Email
    4. What your request concerns
  5. Please do not send service requests related to advocacy or harassment through the PAPY form.

Here’s how to connect your membership to Kide.app

Note! If you have purchased your membership through the Kide.app, no separate membership activation is required. If you have purchased your membership through the Hamrek gateway, follow these instructions:

Connect your METKA membership to the Kide.app, and you can enjoy member-priced events. Download Kide.app from the app store on your phone or use it on your browser. METKA members can link their membership to an existing account in Kide.app. You do not need to create a new account just to connect if you have already used Kide.app before.

  1. Log in to Kide.app
  2. Choose “Wallet” on the menu
  3. Choose “Memberships”
  4. Click “Activate membership”
  5. Choose “Student Union METKA” from the menu
  6. Fill the forms, and you are done!

If you are unable to link your account right now, it may be that we have not yet had time to transfer your membership information to Kide.app. We transfer information several days a week.
